Become A Volunteer
Homesteading is hands-on work, and occasionally, I need extra help with various projects around Grimes & Co. Homestead. Whether it’s building new garden beds, setting up composting systems, or working on sustainability projects, volunteering is a great way to gain real experience. While I don’t have a set schedule for volunteers, I always encourage everyone to give their time to The Gardens at Brookdale.
Managed by my great friend and Master Gardener Susan Fisher, The Gardens at Brookdale provides hands-on learning opportunities and grows fresh produce to help feed the unhoused community in Macon, GA. It’s a fantastic place to sharpen your gardening skills while making a real impact.
